For serious watch lovers, there are two events that stand out from the rest on the horological calendar – the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) and Baselworld. But this year another exhibition is being introduced to the rotation, and this one isn’t in Switzerland.
This September the first WATCHES&WONDERS exhibition will be held in Hong Kong. There will be thirteen brands showing off their latest and greatest creations, offering collectors in the region an unprecedented opportunity to go hands-on with these pieces.
There will also be a an exhibit called The Mastery of Time, which details the history of timekeeping more generally. From the earliest ways to track time using the heavens to the most cutting edge modern wrist watches, The Mastery of Time offers a broad look at horological history.
In addition to showcasing its watches at the exhibition, IWC Schaffhausen is also hosting a contest. By visiting the IWC booth you can enter to win a trip for two to both the Schaffhausen, Switzerland manufacture and Portofino, Italy to see where one of IWC’s most successful collections gets its inspiration.
To attend WATCHES&WONDERS you will need tickets, which you can get one of two ways. Either you can visit one of IWC’s boutiques or contact the Hong Kong or China concierge services to have them sent to you directly. You can find all the details and listing of boutiques here.
